Highlight of the night for me: having a discussion about IRC at the end of a liveblog with live-comments that turned into every #undernet discussion forum ever.

Canada's going to need a "unite the left" movement once the ash settles.

I am content to wait a few more election cycles for the Liberals to get their act together.

I have to agree with Tom, but it amuses me that 2 of the first 4 commenters attempted to use Jaffer's fate to suggest theories of his ouster that would have been refuted by reading the column.
